General Education Core 30
The IU Columbus plan for general education defines common competencies for all IU Columbus undergraduate students, regardless of their degree program. The IU Columbus general education plan meets Indiana’s statewide transferable general education core, a system designed to maximize flexibility for students transferring from one university campus or academic program to another. Your academic advisor will help you select courses that meet the statewide requirements. These courses should be taken as early as possible, preferably in the first year.
